4 simple Steps to Becoming a Follower of Christ
1. Knowing God Loves you and has a great Plan for your life
Scripture:
John 3:3 - "Jesus replied, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.'"
John 3:5-6 - "Jesus answered, 'Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.'"
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Explanation:
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. He desires to have a relationship with you and wants you to experience eternal life with Him.
2. Recognising The Problem: Sin has left me separated from God
Scripture:
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Explanation:
All people have sinned and are separated from God. Sin leads to spiritual death and eternal separation from God, but God offers us eternal life through Jesus.
3. Seeing God’s Solution: Jesus Christ became a sin sacrifice for Me to be forgiven of my sins
Scripture:
Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
John 14:6 - "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
John 1:29 - "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, 'Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!'"
Explanation:
Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for our sin. Through Him, we can know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead three days later , making a way for us to be forgiven of our sins and to experience a relationship with God through being Born again.
4. My Response: Choosing to Believe, Repenting from sin, and Receiving Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour
Scripture:
Acts 16:31 - "They replied, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.'"
Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."
John 1:12 - "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
Explanation:
Salvation requires a personal response. You must turn away from your sins (repent), place your trust in Jesus Christ (faith), and invite Him into your life as your Savior and Lord (receive Him). When you do this, you become a child of God.

Dear God,
I know that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, who was born of a virgin 2000 years ago and that you lived a sinless life and died on the cross for my sins. Three days later you rose from the dead for me. I turn from my sins and ask you to cleanse me NOW. Jesus I invite you into my life and I choose you to be my Lord and Saviour. From this day on I choose to follow you and accept you as my Lord. I declare JESUS IS LORD OF ME NOW!!
Thank You for giving me the right to become Your child. And that this day i have been born again and adopted into your Family. Thank you Jesus and thank you Father for my brand new life i declare Jesus is LORD of my life!!
