Faith Through Trials and the Power of Intercession

The Lord restored Jobs Losses

"And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before." — Job 42:10

The story of Job reveals the power of faith and prayer in the midst of trials. Job, was a man known for his integrity and devotion to God, was blessed with wealth, family, and status (Job 1:1-3). This righteous life attracted Satan’s attention, and with God’s permission, he unleashed severe trials on Job, claiming that his faith relied on his prosperity alone (Job 1:9-12).

In one day, Job lost his wealth, children, and health, and began to experience great suffering. Yet, despite these losses, he worshipped God, declaring, “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord” (Job 1:21). Job refused to turn his back on God, and  his faith held strong under fire. To add insult to injury, Jobs  friends began to falsely accuse Job suggesting his suffering was because of something he had done wrong! With Friends like that you don’t even need the devil, as they are clearly doing his job of being the accuser of the brethren.  Job continued to seek God while he was under attack and God eventually showed up powerfully!!

When he did, God rebuked Job’s friends for misrepresenting His nature, and in a powerful act of mercy, instructed them to offer sacrifices while asking Job to pray for them (Job 42:8). This moment of intercession marked a turning point: as Job prayed for those who misjudged him, God began to restore his life. This intercessory act triggered a double blessing, restoring his family, health, and wealth beyond what he had before (Job 42:10-17).Job’s story reminds us that attacks that come from the enemy, are designed to shake our faith. Yet, God remains compassionate, guiding us to forgive, pray for others, and endure. Through prayer, even for those who misunderstand us, we release God’s power for healing and restoration. In trials, we need to remember: “The Lord is very compassionate and merciful” (James 5:11), ready to turn our testing into a testimony of His faithfulness.The end of the matter is that God intended to bless Job  with a double portion. Through endurance faith and  prayer he overcame and saw the blessing of God restored in his life.

Prayer for those Under Attack

Personalise and  pray this out loud;

I pray that unforgiveness and bitterness will find no place in my heart. I pray a sweet spirit will prevail and that out of this sweetness there will be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit in my life. I bless those that have wrongly diagnosed my situation, I forgive them. I pray for those who have been spiteful and damaging, I pray you will help them in a powerful way. I release them from my judgement!

I break the attack of the enemy against my life and command all effects of this attack to be gone in Jesus name. I declare I am blessed and protected by the power of the blood of Jesus. I thank you for great deliverance now. I worship you and I pray for my “Friends” that you will bless them. I give you glory and honour for all that you will do in my life now in Jesus name Amen!
